For those with children or those who pass out candy on Halloween, you’ll be happy to know that the Board of Supervisors has declared Friday, October 30th as Halloween. Carson City Supervisors have consistently kept Halloween away from being the same day as Nevada Day which produces a fair number of drunk or otherwise impaired drivers on the streets and highways around town. So in the interest of keeping Carson City children and their families safe, Halloween will be celebrated a day ahead of the rest of the country under orders from the Carson City Board of Supervisors. Maybe they could cut adult birthdays in half, and double the number of Christmases while they’re at it.
