It’s here! Spot checking boats being put into Lake Tahoe.

Authorities are going to be spot checking boats being launched into the clear waters of Lake Tahoe to ensure those waters stay clear and aqua blue. The TRPA says special sniff-dogs will be employed to check boats for any sign or scent of a very predatory mussel that’s finding it’s way into new rivers, streams and lakes in the west, and which could prove devastating to Lake Tahoe.
